Microsoft SQL Server End of Life

Lytec installations include the SQL Server licenses and install required for your Lytec databases.  Those on older versions of Lytec are not HIPAA compliant if their database application is no longer being supported by Microsoft as security updates are no longer being issued,  The following SQL Server versions will no longer receive updates after the listed date.  Be sure to update your Lytec in order to remain HIPAA compliant with your SQL database.

SQL Server 2012 – January 14, 2014

SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP3) – July 9, 2019

SQL Server 2012 (SP3) – July 12, 2022

Microsoft OS End of Life

Security updates are required so that clinics remain HIPAA compliant.  The following operating systems will no longer receive updates after the listed date.  Older operating system not listed have already met their end of life.  Ensure your systems are updated prior to the listed date.  Older hardware may need to be replaced to run the latest operating systems.
